The Noble Place
The Noble Place Pre-Nursing Living Learning Community is designed to provide a focused residential environment that supports the academic success of pre-nursing students through intentional community building, academic engagement, and structured preparation for application to the Upper Division School of Nursing.
Students benefit from aligned coursework support, faculty engagement, peer accountability, and programming that reinforces professional expectations within the nursing pathway.
Noble Place Living-Learning Community Requirements
- Must be a declared pre-nursing major.
- Must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5.
- Must have a minimum SAT score of 1010 or ACT composite score of 20.
- Must intend to apply to the Upper Division School of Nursing.
- Must be enrolled full-time in required prerequisite coursework.
- Must remain in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University.
- Students are expected to maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA consistent with competitive admission standards for the Upper Division School of Nursing.
- Students should maintain strong performance in all science and prerequisite courses.
- Academic progress will be monitored each semester to ensure alignment with progression standards.
- Enroll in Nursing 100.
- Volunteer for 4–5 School of Nursing-sponsored events per academic year.
- Attend School of Nursing (SON) sponsored and LLC-specific events, academic workshops, and nursing pathway programming.
- Join the TELOCA Nursing Organization.
- Maintain professional conduct within the residential community.
- Communicate in a timely manner regarding academic status or changes in major intent.
Failure to meet eligibility, GPA, or participation expectations may result in reevaluation of placement within the Living-Learning Community.
General Learning Outcomes
The primary goal of the Noble Place Nursing Living Learning Community is to assist students in succeeding both personally and academically during their time at North Carolina A&T, with particular emphasis on the first two years of academic study.
Through participation in the Living Learning Community, students will:
- Engage in intentional community-building experiences that promote peer accountability and collaboration.
- Explore nursing career pathways through advising, professional development activities, and nursing-specific experiential learning opportunities (e.g., SON-sponsored and LLC-specific events, and TELOCA organization engagement).
- Volunteer for 4–5 School of Nursing-sponsored events per academic year.
- Develop professional behaviors aligned with expectations for progression into the Upper Division School of Nursing.
- Participate in group meetings, social events, academic workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
